Ingredients
  

Dry Rub

  • 1 tsp Chinese five spice powder
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar or honey powder
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt

Optional Wet Glaze

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic grated or minced

Instructions
 

  • Brush with extra glaze in the final minute of cooking for a sticky finish. Serve hot with rice or stir fried veggies.
  • Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Massage rub evenly into the salmon.
  • Optional: Mix wet glaze ingredients in a separate bowl. Pour over the salmon to marinate for 30 minutes in the fridge.
  • Cook using your preferred method, grill, bake at 400°F for 12-15 minutes, or pan-sear for 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Brush with extra glaze in the final minute of cooking for a sticky finish. Serve hot with rice or stir-fried veggies.

Notes

Customize the spice level by adjusting cayenne. For extra depth, add lime juice or Thai basil. Great for fish tacos or rice bowls!
