Garlic Butter Steak and Shrimp (Surf and Turf)

This classic surf and turf recipe combines juicy grilled steak with garlic butter shrimp for a simple, flavorful dinner at home.

Ingredients
  

For the Steak

  • 2 pieces ribeye or sirloin steaks room temperature
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

For the Shrimp

  • 10 pieces large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp parsley chopped (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side (for medium rare) or until desired doneness. Remove and rest.

  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  • Stir in lemon juice and parsley. Spoon shrimp and garlic butter over steaks and serve.

Notes

Use high quality steaks and large shrimp for best results. Pair with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
